Data Entry Clerk – “Intern” Position

Fraser Financial – Vernon, has been serving the Vernon area for over 25 years and is seeking a “Data Entry Intern” to assist us with a major business platform transition this year. There is the potential for a more permanent position if the candidate proves themselves worthy of future consideration.

Description

The Data Entry Intern will be responsible to enter data from various source documents into the system for processing and data management purposes.

Responsibilities & Activities

• Prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry
• Check source documents for accuracy
• Verify data and correct data where necessary
• Obtain further information for incomplete documents, if required
• Enter data from source documents into prescribed files and forms
• Check completed work for accuracy
• Respond to requests for information and access relevant files
• Comply with data integrity and security policies

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Post-secondary program in Business or Office Administration
• Proficient in MS Office
• Accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data at the required speed
• Knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
